Yesterday, in an Interview with Entertainment Weekly, Haley Scarnato answered questions about her experiences on American Idol as well as her future ambitions. Scarnato, who made it to the Top 8 of 'Idol' this season, became widely known for her long legs and skimpy outfits- thus replacing the memory of amateur skank Antonella Barba.

When asked about her feelings in regards to Simon's lecherous comments on her wardrobe choices and perceived lack of talent, Haley stated, "It's hard to take [criticism] like that. I just tried to keep going and just know what I know and I know who I am."

"I know what I know and I know who I am?" Really, Haley? After paraphrasing the famous Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians song, Ms. Scarnato justified her mid-season fashion overhaul:

"[Simon said] I was very cabaret for a while -- I thought maybe I should go more trendy and young and look more pop. I thought to focus more on what's in style. And that's what's in style, so that's why I went with shorts and leggings. It just kind of was what it was."


Haley told interviewers that her wedding has been pushed back to January due to the summer American Idol tour, and that she wasn't as apathetic about the contest as viewers might have assumed from her "clock in and clock out" comment a few weeks back.

She also divulged that her amazing legs were the result of makeup rather than an intense workout schedule. Wait a second...now chicks have leg makeup? Push-up bras, fake tans, hair extensions, 6 inch heels, 20 inch nails, and gallons of facepaint weren't enough? Sigh.
