Family Ties TV sitcom was aired on September 22, 1982, deals about Keaton family that included two former hippies, Steven and his wife Elyse Keaton, together with their children Alex, a young Republican, Mallory, an underachiever, Jennifer and Andrew who just wanted to be a normal kids.

Family Ties incomparable trade is that it is a family comedy sitcom mixed with politics, which took to number 2 on the prime time-slot ratings during 1980's. The show, also showed the changing values during the Reagan era. Besides political views, Family Ties covered a number of controversial topics ranging from suicide to racism to drug dependency.
