This black and white comedy show of the 1960's featured an unforgettable pair of hilarious police officers. The misadventures of two of New York's finest in the mythical 53rd precinct in the Bronx, NYC policeman Officer Gunther Toody, the short, stocky and dim-witted, is partnered with stiff, by-the-book Officer Francis Muldoon are assigned to protect an important mafia witness prior to testifying against organized crime lord in Brooklyn. Together, they fight crime in New York City, bringing out the best in others around them while dealing with their personal lives, overbearing spouses, arm dealers, and their officious boss Captain Anderson.
